Kip Westerfield

Born in Texas to artistic and musical parents, Kip began creating art as a child using pencils and ink. While pursuing his BFA in Illustration at Longwood College in Virginia, Kip began a long period of artistic experimentation. After being pushed by a favorite teacher Kip discovered his unique style through the combining of different
mediums and techniques. Although Kip began his exploration in illustration he has developed his artistic communication through various mediums. His current work is centered in using oil painting, drawing with ink and graphite, and found paper assemblage, whether combining these materials or using them separately, the images are both figurative and dreamlike. Set in a surrealistic world where narrative is not always obvious or explainable, but more of a snapshot of an idea open to individual interpretations.
In 2012 was born as a way to produce original art into items such as t-shirts and skateboards. Kip has done exclusive board designs for the San Francisco Skateboard Association, and Karma. provides a view into his vast body of work, both personal and commercial, and in the Store, selling T-shirt designs,
Skateboards, Lino prints, Seiragraph prints, as well as original artwork.
