Oksana Kocherzhat

My name is Oksana and I am 37 years old. I am from Ukraine. I graduated from the Faculty of Law and Economics in 2007 and 2009. But my passion is painting.
A self-taught artist, I watched my father and grandfather as they drew, and from a very young age I tried to draw too.
In 2021, for the first time, I participated in a art exhibition. One of my works was rejected because they said it was a photograph. I was upset and flattered at the same time!)
I am constantly improving, looking for new subjects.
I am from Ukraine, painting has helped me for many years to distract from the terrible events around me. I was painting while there were explosions outside my window.
The process of painting gives me joy. I want people to feel that emotion when they see my works.
For more than 15 years, I have not stopped painting. By education, I am a financier and a lawyer. I wish I could devote more time to painting, but for now it's not possible... but all my free time is taken up by painting... I live it, breathe it...
