Kolja Kern is a young German based contemporary painter, who is known for creating remarkable paintings in the manner of post-conceptual art.
Kolja Kern was born on 07 February 1980 in the German town of Rotenburg, to Hildegard, a librarian, and Dieter Kern, a teacher. After his graduation in 2000, he went to the University of Fine Arts in Hamburg but soon broke off to study at the Berlin University of the Arts. After a while he quit his studies and began traveling. In 2014 he moved to Shanghai and worked as a Designer and Artist. Since 2016 he lives and works in Berlin and Hamburg.
