Anastasiia Koltsova

Hi!

My name is Anastasia Koltsova. I am a painter.

I was born in the city of Orenburg, situated between the vast Kazakh steppes and the picturesque Ural mountains. This contrasting landscape has been a great influence on my artistic perception.
Now I live in Sergiev Posad.

I was fond of painting since childhood and mainly painted with gouache and watercolours, but for past 7 years I have been painting with oil paints.

I like abstraction, cubism, impressionism. I am inspired by artists such as Picasso, Cezanne, Matisse, Kandinsky.

When I worked as a teacher of fine arts, I told my students that the world is not always the way we see it. This is what I attempt to show through my paintings.
