Kurtis Clement

Kurtis Paul Clement is an abstract expressionist painter from Newmarket, Ontario. Born August 25 1994 Clement grew up constantly battling with internal struggles. In late 2012 he found his passion in art, working night after night painting and drawing in his vault studio. His vibrant and dramatic paintings tell tales of his life experiences. After only one short year he has defined his incredible abstract painting style. Influenced by legendary artists Jean Paul Riopelle, Frans Kline, & Willem De Kooning, he has developed his own unique twist to each of his works. His incredible use of colour gives his paintings a unique and emotional response to his inner demons while his creative use of tools and techniques articulate his views on society and personal life experience. You can feel the struggle that comes with each and every painting he creates. With ideals of love and personal conflict Clement enforces his passion through his work and creates work that provokes, yet intrigues the audience.
