"The Mission" Under the Wings of G_d and the Shadow of Amalek

The centerpiece of this amazing exhibit is the 19 x 7 long Mission, which vibrantly illuminates 4,000 years of Jewish history beginning with the patriarch Abraham and culminating with the Jewish nation. Twenty years from inception to completion, The Mission radiates with brilliant color and imagery and draws the viewer into the rich texture woven from the interplay of elements and archetypes that are icons of the Jewish odyssey through the ages. Explanatory text illuminates each of its seven panels. With The Mission, Dubi Arie, artist, Israeli soldier, farmer and Holocaust survivor, completed a dream that was conceived on June 7, 1967, the day that East Jerusalem was liberated during the Six Day War by Israeli paratroopers, regaining control of the Western Wall.
