Andrey Laponov

Born December 1, 1978 in the city of Dnipro.
I live and work in the city of Odessa.
The first works created in the early 1990s in a realistic style. In late 2000, carried away by symbolism.
I use the technique - gilding (board, levkas, gold)
In my works I explore the correspondences between the world of the hidden and the public, the unity and opposition of the sacred and the profane, life and death, chaos and the cosmos .. In search of a universal form for expressing one's ideas, analyzing christian, pagan, jewish and other symbols. My works are in private collections in Ukraine and abroad.

For his own consideration, he did not receive a formal art education, he learned to write independently by studying icon painting, gradually developed his own style of writing.
