Inspired by Chinese drawings, different cultures, myths, fairy tales and science of time, space, brain and awareness. What is time and space? What fascinated me is that, on the one hand, the ancient cultures have symbols like this, like the Chinese dragon for the new era. On the other hand, science can explain more and more of time and space. In this collection, I want to combine in art.
This interest in time and space has arisen during my search for color. What fascinated me is that color is like motion or vibration, and that you can perceive it with your eyes and experience it as a color. To make such a vibration, you need time and space. But what is time and space exactly? I was born in Curaçao from a Dutch mother and Surinamese father. When I was seven, I moved to The Netherlands. At that time, you had different groups and each had their own dress code. That's why I wanted to design my own style in clothes and I'm following the fashion design program at the Hoge School for the Arts in Arnhem (ArteZ). During the training, however, I discovered that the fashion world was not really something for me.
