Tatjana Tiziana

Tatjana Tiziana was born in 1974 in Schlossrued, Switzerland. After attending the Kunstgewerbeschule (art school) in Lucerne, she went to the Ecole de Décors in Geneva. After living in Algeria and Vienna she later returned to Switzerland.

The artist found her own unique style early on. Baroque Surrealism. Her artistic name pays homage to the Renaissance painter Tizian. Her visions reveal objects from all perspectives. She uncovers what is concealed. She wants to show what a normal person doesn't see. Tatjana Tiziana sees surrealism as the true reality. Her paintings are impressive, dynamic, voluptuous and incredibly intense. They are works of physical and intellectual ecstasy.

The artist has been allowed to decorate renowned buildings such as the wedding chapel at Kurhotel Bad Schinznach, the restaurant in Zurich's Hotel Ambassador as well as the luxury lodgings of Castle on the Hudson in New York with her fantasy world. Over weeks and months she paints ceilings and walls of up 300 square meter rooms.

Her work has been on display since the early 90s in Linthpark Glarus Süd where it covers 2000 m2.
