Leila Ali

Leila Ali (Bogotá, Colombia) lives and works in Austin, Texas.

Her work is predominantly built as series using found photographs and vintage ephemera combine with a wide range of techniques and materials. With the juxtaposition of different elements, her intention is to point out the place of remembrance in the contemporary world. She mainly questions the memory and how it could be rewritten throughout time. Over last years Leila has produced a comprehensive range of works, especially using mixed media and collage.
