My great passion, while constructing images, is to elaborate original visual solutions from day-to-day observations. The exercise of creativity goes through ordinary elements, to find rhythm in form and in gesture. The theme of my works is the rhythm itself. Anything can be represented - human figures, a variety of landscapes, imaginary scenes etc - as long as the initial subject can be turned into rhythm.
I transform ideas into visual concepts and use the pencil to bring these memory’s impressions. This artistic medium is flexible enough to test ideas, to articulate and relate them to other ideas until they represent an stylized image of the elements.
I like to work and make continuous experimentation with both conventional and electronic media. The pencil is my favourite tool due to its agility and to its light and shade contrast expressiveness. Other conventional mediums I explore are pastel, pen and ink, watercolor and charcoal. I use also some graphics applications when looking for some specific effect, once the possibility of using countless layers and controlling how they interact with each other gives the artist an excellent experimental opportunity.
