Leonid Tokeggi

I am a UK artist embarking on this series under the pseudonym Leonid Tokeggi. The series merrily occupies the borderland between art and interior design, as such, owing much to its forebears in Art Nouveau, Art Deco and in particular the Bauhaus movement. The works are original paintings, meticulously produced which are intended also to provide designs that can be used to adorn objet, furniture and everyday objects. The paintings' use of abstract line is minimalist in composition but they are maximalist in their use of colour. They employ the contrast of denser, deeper tones against neutral and/or luminous dynamic linear interactions to punctuate the space within the paintings and in turn punctuate the space within which they are viewed.
