Martin Willis

I make paintings which draw inspiration from the natural world to create a surface that is reminiscent of landscape and in particular, aerial views. I use the a wide variety of materials in a way that mirrors the process of nature on the landscape.
From a distance the textures and colours merge to create a whole image which reflects the glory of nature, while upon closer inspection you can see exciting combinations of colour and texture.
I would like the viewer to want to touch the paintings and not just look at them.
