Lili Ghane

I am a former architect and current artist completing a Master of Fine Arts degree, where I explore the loneliness and isolation of modern life through painting, sculpture, and video. My work is informed by my background in architecture, my interest in visual storytelling, and how space, memory, and technology impact the human experience.
Before starting my studies in fine arts, I worked as an architect for several years, gaining valuable experience in design and teaching. As an interior designer, I created creative and functional spaces for living and working. As a designer and supervisor of smart building systems, I also strived to create smart and responsive environments by integrating new technologies with architecture. These experiences taught me how much space can influence human behavior, emotions, and connection - or isolation.
Alongside my architectural practice, I also worked as a teacher in architecture-related courses, sharing my knowledge of 3D construction and visual thinking with students. Teaching gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of communication and clarity in design and education - skills that continue to influence my artistic work today.
