Linda Karslake is a UK-based abstract artist known for creating textured, emotive paintings that explore energy, emotion, and transformation. Working from her Selby studio in North Yorkshire, Linda blends natural materials like chalk, mineral pigments, and sometimes Shungite powder to create soulful, layered surfaces full of movement and depth.
Her process is intuitive and emotionally led — often beginning with a feeling or memory and evolving through texture, colour, and flow. Rich tones, organic forms, and atmospheric marks give her work a sense of presence and quiet power.
A self-described alchemist of the everyday, Linda draws inspiration from nature, inner stillness, and the beauty found in ordinary moments. Her work invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and connect with what’s stirring beneath the surface.
Featured in private collections across the UK and beyond, Linda’s art is a celebration of healing, resilience, and the unseen forces that shape us.
Privately mentored in painting and drawing while living in Leeds. Self-taught artist with over a decade of professional studio practice.
