He began making the first experimentation with generative art in 1983 and earned a degree in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan in 1988, with a final project on algorithms for the generation of images.

In the following years, he was divided between the artistic activity, the development of multimedia artifacts and the university teaching at the Politecnico di Milano and at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, where he currently teaches Computer Graphics.
-
He recently resumed the artistic research activity starting from the conversion of the first works that are no longer executable on current computers and mobile devices.

Since the 1980s his work has been animated by the interest in the dynamics of human perception through the use of creative coding. By devising its own processes for generating dynamic visual configurations, he investigates the mechanisms of perception from aesthetics to the artificial life in digital artifacts, through which it is possible to understand some of our prejudices in the relationships with natural life forms.
