Lizzie Black

Lizzie Black is a fine artist living in Cornwall. She comes from a strong tradition in landscape painting in her family. Lizzie trained at Falmouth art School and Bower Ashton in Bristol as a painter. Attracted to the landscape of West Penwith Lizzie works 'plein air' capturing the mood of the changing tides, light and weather that transform the scenery. Her work has a traditional feel using an earth palette and with an emphasis on light and texture. As well as painting Lizzie has taught Art and painting in schools and education settings.
