Lorna Vanparys

I have always lived a passion for the arts: its history, its theory and my personnel creative process. After finishing university with a degree in Science and Art I moved to Europe and studied the Classical painting technique for 5 years under an accomplished artist Françoise André. With this knowledge I went to graduate school in the U.S. to study contemporary art and graduated with a Master's Degree of Fine Arts in Visual arts. I maintain a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn and Puyricard, France and regularly show my paintings in New York City, NY, and Paris, France and recently in Xi'An, China and Tokyo, Japan. The work I show on this online Saatchi gallery is based on my research with a variety of contemporary materials like liguid tar, resins, oil paint, sand, gold leaf and collaged papers and any other unusual material I can find.
