Growing up through the 90’s therapy was a dirty word.

I wasn’t able to talk about things or say how I truly felt. So, for decades I silenced my authentic voice and began living for the approval of others and society, a true people pleaser.

I did this until I experienced my first serious breakdown. Through my recovery I began painting again and expressing my true voice through my art. It healed me, my anxiety has subsided, the constant lump in my throat has gone and I’m learning to live my life on my own terms. I paint these messages as a reminder that you only have one life, we must show up as our true self, otherwise it’s a waste.
