Lorn Curry

I have been painting since 2000.

My still-life paintings aspire to - and are inspired by - the work of the hyper-realists. These pieces represent an ongoing exploration of the constants of life that connect us all as human beings: cherished objects, childhood memories, food, the kitchen and so on.

My work is underpinned by my long-held fascination with the interplay of light and dark, positive and negative space and the power of light to define the surfaces across which it travels.
