Louise Simeonides-Haslam

I am an emerging artist. I was born in South Africa to a Cypriot father and South African mother. I also have a brother. When I was 18 I left home and travelled to the UK then onto Cyprus, it is here I met a wonderful woman and fellow artist, Ellie Lestas. I would sit weekly in her art studio in a village in Cyprus where she would give me art lessons and help me build a portfolio. After 2 years I returned to South Africa, where I studied Graphic Design. My course included photography and fine art sketching with a few painting classes. After 3 years I travelled to the UK and now live here with my husband, teenage son and dog.

Since I was a young child I have always loved to be creative, but over the years life seemed to get in the way and my artistic talents lay dormant. I have recently decided to stop wasting my talents and rekindle my passion for painting, photography, drawing and any other direction my creative ideas decide to take me to.

Photography is something I am also extremely passionate about and hope to be able to share some of my work on this site soon.
