Lydia Orange

I love travelling, I do it a lot and have become a travel artist over the last several years. My work is based on all the different landscapes I am inspired by around the world from Iceland to Barcelona to beautiful Britain, which is where I call home. I am currently working on an ongoing project called Remote Britain on which I travel with a photographer (my brother) and a researcher (my sister) and we paint and photograph the remote places of the UK. This project is supported by Visit Britain and Visit England.

I am self taught and have been painting and drawing from the early age of... well when I could pick up a pencil! My Granddad, Mother and Brother are all artists so it came part and parcel of life. I also do Illustration and studied children's Illustration at City Lit. I have a degree in Acting and am a professional working actress.

I am currently preparing for my own solo exhibition, exhibiting the work I have been developing from Remote Britain. Other recent exhibitions include the Artfinder Pop-Up Camden, a solo exhibition at The Viliage Centre Englefield, The Bridge Sessions Buckhursthill and Art Meets Music at St Dionis.
