At present my work is based on the observations of the marks left from the passage of time. With an upbringing in Northern Ireland I am sensitive to the balance and transience of life and the trace that we can leave behind. By cataloguing graffiti, etched markings and abandoned objects I have created a portfolio of rich images to work with. I have then digitally enhanced these, often finding new directions, giving creating a fresh take on what was discarded, unnoticed or left to erode.

Inspiration... the texture of Anselm Kiefer, the visual deception of Lucy Skaer, the impetuous style of Francis Bacon and the inventiveness of finding new ways to use organic shapes by designers such as Joseph Walsh and Ron Arad.
