Hello,
My name is Mado St-Cyr and I was born in Danville, a small town in the Eastern Townships, Quebec, Canada. Currently, I live in Sherbrooke.
INFLUENCES & INSPIRATION
My influences are diverse and vary according to the experiences I live. Art fascinates and nourishes me, especially painting. My inspiration comes to me from nature but also from visual flashes whether it is the shape of a cloud, the colors of a tree, the rocks or the buildings - this information is recorded in my subconscious and comes back modified when I am painting.
Regarding my education, I am partly self-taught, but I also took visual arts classes at Bishop's University without feeling the need for a degree. I only chose courses that allowed me to advance my practice.
Other than that, for a few years I was fortunate to have a great mentor.
