i was born in Philadelphia but moved to manhattan when I was 14. I live in New York city. I have lived and worked in New York, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.I work with liquid mercury and perhaps I am a moving image myself. I started out as an architect and after working for a time was influenced by the leading architects of the day and in New Youk found the creative forces from artists like Larry Rivers, Roy Lichtenstein, Pol Bury, Ryman, and the new exciting work. Rauchenberg was a major force in my changing from architecture to the visual arts. From pouring paint to working with mercury and kinetic art my inspiration was arroused. I also did oil paintings of the ocean liners that visited NY Harbor. In 1982 I was comissioned to do a painting for the World Trade Center at Windows of the World by the Port Authority of New Yorkthe painting was destroyed on 911.
