Art is a spiritual, emotional and psychological journey into the meaning for our existence. It acts upon our psyche in ways nothing else can.”
My work as an artist continually explores the spiritual, emotional and psychological connections between human beings and the natural environment and universe.
The beauty that exists in nature inspires me; and I find my center each day through the balance and harmony that nature provides, challenging me to pick up pencil, pen, brush or other implements to draw and paint the beauty of the spirit in nature.

I was born and raised in California and received my BA in Fine Art with an emphasis in graphic design, after pursuing extensive studies in art at San Diego State University, Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, and CSUSB. I later received a diploma in urban planning and design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design
and completed a certificate in multimedia design. Through the course of my studies and work I have researched
and developed technical skills in diverse art disciplines that share common threads, from sensitive hand sketching to technical concept creation. Studying color theory and color psychology to understand the nature of how we
as human beings are affected by everything that surrounds us has been a life long pursuit.
I attended the Language, SYMBOL, Reality Symposium while a student at Saint Mary’s
College, and later the ACSA Memory & Architecture Conference while pursuing graduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
In 2007 I was honored to present “Drawing Women’s Leadership from the Right Side of the Brain”, at the Women as Intercultural Leaders: Collaboration at the Crossroads Conference, sponsored by the
Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership at St Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN.

My work has been exhibited through galleries and special arts events since1972. Works are in both private and corporate collections.
