Magdalena Szyszkowska

Magdalena Szyszkowska was born on May 25th, 1972 in Lublin, Poland. She graduated from Piotr Michalowski High School of Art in Lublin. She received her Master's degree in Graphic Arts at The Faculty of Arts, under the direction of Stanislaw Gorecki at Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin in 1997. In 2011, she finished the postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She obtained her diploma under the direction of Professor Teresa Kotkowska-Rzepecka, with a unique artistic paper as an annex to the diploma. Currently, she holds the position of an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin.
She specializes in painting, drawing and experimental techniques connected with handmade paper. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers, Lublin district, a participant in many individual and collective exhibitions.
