Christoph Mandera

The 1955 in Castrop Rauxel born and in a catholic parents' house grown up german artist works in the metropolis Ruhr. The Ruhr area is a miniature version of Europe. It has been defined by immigration from countries all over Europe. For centuries the region was dominated by the coal and steel industries, and its inhabitants laboured under the harshest conditions to transform an insignificant strip of land into the powerhouse of German industry.. Christoph Mandera creates in hisurban street art' a fantastic figure world, which oscillates between the hardness of the everyday life and the dream of a paradises.
