Born in Seville (Spain)
My artistic career began in 1993 when I finished my studies in Arts and Crafts in Seville. Next, I moved to Madrid, to join Francisco Cortijo’s workshop. In the workshop, I discovered color and light, a binomial that has always accompanied my creative work and that of art director.

My plastic work has always been an experimentation. Thus, the initial still lifes were the basis of my learning about the phenomenon of light. In 1994, I experimented with the first digital works, inspired by Cortijo who at that time was working on digital drawings and 3D infographics in motion since 1989.

Between 1998 and 2000 I made digital works that I later painted with mixed media on canvas. These were “revivals” of paintings of the Spanish Renaissance and Baroque, generally of religious theme, which served as a pretext to transfer autobiographical concerns and in which light was already the protagonist.

While working as an art director and designer in New Zealand (2014-2018), my analogue and digital artistic work was reduced to the personal realm.
