Manuela Herdrich

My motifs are mainly color landscape photographs.

Most of my artistic work has its similarity and referential character, i.e. the iconic and indexical substance of the
photography, because my current artistic approach is based on the aesthetics of blur. In my work, I pursue
not a documentary or narrative approach, but my own interpretation of the present time, with today's means in the Comparison to the artists Lucio Fontana and Piet Mondrian, who influence me very much.
By means of the blur an abstraction of the subject takes place which is reduced thereby to a shadowy existence. The strategy of Blur leads to a reduction which is at the same time catharsis and search for truth, which at best is reflected on the recipient by means of observation to my work. Abstraction is additionally supported by solving the logical-rational color field combinations.
