Marco Zaffino

Marco Zaffino was born 4th March 1973 in Huddersfield, UK.
He is prolific in all his disciplines, exhibiting as a solo or group artist. He has been in house photographer for counter culture magazine PROWL, he has directed five feature films:
Those with awards: The Veranda (Best Foreign Feature LAIIFF 2002), Kino - 2009 (Golden Kahuna Award For Filmmaking Excellence at Honolulu IFF 2010) writing 15 feature screenplays and three novels with few more on the go.
He is presently collaborating on his script Charcoal Burner which is in pre-production, 4 series of Photography: The Myths, The Epics, Sentries and Travellers, and showing his 4th Feature: KINO online at .

Art direction and the realisation of his work, come from constantly sketching ideas and inspirations with pen, pencils and coffee. He generally sources or makes the clothes, costumes, jewellery, and props and then the excitement of creating those sketches in the real world, with camera (or paints), landscape and subjects occurs.
