Maria Heyman

Maria Heyman is a watercolour artist who lives in nordic Sweden in the city of Gothenburg, close to the windy sea.

"As a visual thinker, art has always been the easiest way for me to express myself. When I was a child, I would sit alongside my mother as she read me books, and I would draw how I imagined those worlds. These days I gather a lot of inspiration from nature, and love to add some whimsy to my creations."

Maria studied at Gothenburg Univeristy at the Dental Technology Programme and holds a Bachelor Degree from there. "Despite what you might think this is a quite artistic programme, where you learn to make life-like prosthetics. I definitely grew in my artistic abilities during my time there."

Maria is a self taught artist who has been drawing and painting for over 25 years.
