Mariana Gambande

I am an Argentinian artist currently living in Barcelona, Spain.
For me the act of painting is both a form of meditation and a cathartic exercise. I feel the need to express my own contradictions through art, as if with it I could release the excess energy of my mind.
Nowadays I am working with watercolor, inks and other liquid mediums. Most of my pieces are small with an often minimal use of colors and shapes, trying to counteract the voracious visual stimuli of modern days.
