Hello! I'm Maria, a unique environmental artist fighting single-use plastic pollution across the US, Asia, and the Middle East.

Drawing on my American upbringing and Assyrian roots, I've dedicated the past decade to crafting art and installations from plastic waste, shaping conscious behaviours towards how we consume plastic and how we dispose of it.

With a Bachelor's degree in Art Education and a Master's in Florence, Italy, I have honed my skills to make a positive impact through art.

For the past decade, my artistic journey has been focused on transforming trash into thought-provoking pieces of art, specifically addressing the issue of plastic pollution in urban and natural environments. Through my artwork, I strive to raise awareness, spark conversations, and inspire change. Drawing inspiration from my travels, I utilize discarded plastic materials to create captivating and visually compelling installations and art pieces.
