Marianneb Van Der Haar

I am a self-taught contemporary abstract painter and live in the Atlanta area.
I was raised in northern Germany on a farm, in my early 20th I moved to the Netherlands. In the early 1980's I spent 4 years in Tanzania in east Africa, before returning to the Netherlands once again for a career in interior design.In 1993 I moved to Atlanta in the United States, where I started painting in 1995 while taking a sabbatical from interior design. I picked up the paints and my future just came to me and exploded--bringing layers on layers of paint together with fingers and palette knife, while working on canvas.

Educated in Europe.
