Maria Teresa Mendiola

Maria Teresa Mendiola was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She studied at the "Escuela de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad de Guadalajara" from 1968-1973. Her paintings are inspired by nature, elemental symbolism, and the unconscious aspects of the human perception. She spiritualizes art as a meditative medium in search of identity and the meaning of life.


Maria Teresa Mendiola has participated in 13 individual exhibitions and over thirty collective exhibitions within Mexico, the United States and Europe.
