Maria Toro

My passion for photography began as a spectator; before I became interested in taking my own photos, I liked to observe the work of others. I remember that I could spend hours and hours flipping through photography books without getting bored. I was particularly struck by the power of the image to communicate and tell stories.

Today photography is a vital exercise that allows me to make life more bearable. It is an activity that I enjoy alone, in open and natural spaces. It is simply the perfect excuse to get out of that routine universe in which we live and experiment freedom.
