Mariella Scandola

Human beings and their fragility are the dominant subjects in all of Mariella Scandola’s work.

The various dynamics of mind and soul are told by the use of color, forms and disintegration of the anatomy. From the pure figurative, never trivial or simply narrative, to the most ambitious goals following the great genre of expressionism.

Her "being" seeks to connect in spiritual communion with all the other possible "beings" and she tells them her story, in the hope they could recognize the affinity with their own life and understand that they are not alone, but that they have so many Brothers in the universe afflicted by the same uneasiness, ready to give a human understanding and brotherly support.

Mariella Scandola gives a shape to the monsters of the modern age, such as indifference, incommunicability, anguish and depression, often baring herself and her soul.

She has been working in the image field primarily as a painter, ranging even in the graphics, collage and sculpture territories.

After graduating from high school and following his professional experience as an advertising graphic designer for important Milanese agencies, he concentrates, once he has given up his job, in the art of collage and oil painting ("my heart and my eyes needed to get excited.)
