.............Growing up in Nijmegen, Netherlands so close to the woodlands and Ooy polder I have been surrounded by the beauty of nature and its mystical qualities.
As a child my grandfather put me every morning at 06.00 AM on his luggage carrier for a trip in the woods. It was magical seeing the early morning light wandering through the tree branches.
It was my grandfathers way to have his spititual moment whitout realizing that he rooted this sprirtual awarness in to me.
My early memories of drawing and painting are when I was two years old.
It enabled me and still does to escape to a place of my own, a moment of stilness to connect with myself and the great force of all.

After studing fashion and design at the school of arts ArtEZ, Arnhem I started 1994 my own business as fashion designer and made in 2000 a switch to become painter.
In that time I developed myself as a still life painter and art teacher in the old classical tradition of the 17e century. After a couple of years I realized that painting still lifes didn’t satisfy me any longer. A need to express more the energie behind real life forced me to abstact my work more and find a way to portray this.
In the periode 2010-2016 a primarily been bussy with materials research and there related technics to find out wich was best for creating my paintings.
In that time a choose not te exhibited my work because the process was much more important than the end result...............................................................................................Currently I work with oil paint, my all-time favorite and cold wax building up layers of transparant colors to create depth and lumnosity.
