The paintings are inspired by editorial photographs from magazines which I transformed into something I think fits in our society or which I spotted in a humoristic way. I paid no attention or actually a lot of attention to gender, ethnicity, and the abnormal current beauty standards. Unfortunately, these three elements (and many more) determine campaigns and commercials nowadays in a negative way and cause in this way big social issues like racism and discrimination. The colors I used were mixed on the medium itself, and I let coincidences happen. The colors reflect happiness, peace, and a little bit of tension.
