Marivel Diaz

I'm a self-taught artist painting mostly in abstract expressionism. I initially began painting florals and landscapes; these days, it's quite possible to see at least two styles merge in a painting.
My process is simple: I show up to the canvas because it's a calling. I don't always have something specific in mind, but inevitably, the painting evolves because I'm guided by the canvas and whatever tool is in my hand.
I'm a Registered Nurse by trade and I've devoted over 22 years to healthcare. Hmm, Art Therapy, is it a benefit for the artist or the collector? I say, it's for both. This is my art journey and I hope you follow along.
