Mariya Shaikh

I am a 20 year old artist from Pakistan. I have always been passionate about Arts since childhood. Art has always served as a means expressing my feelings. Its a way of letting out my secrets and my thoughts on to a piece ,literally expressing myself. Like confiding in a friend, its therapeutic. I have had alot of ups and downs in my life and painting was the only thing that helped me through my lows. My parents have been a huge support for me in this field, especially my dad. No matter how busy he was, he always took out time for me to drive me to the art classes or art shops. He saw a potential in me when i was young and since then he guided me to persue it as a career. The mediums i like to work with are acrylic, oil and graphite.

I am currently studying in Indus Valley school of Art and Architecture, Pakistan.

My first exhibitions were done by my school Beaconhouse Defence campus in grade 10 and grade 11. My third exhibition was held in Islamabad Serena Hotels, by PNCA UAE art competition 2019.
