Mark Greathouse

I am continously in love with the art of photography. In my travels throughout the world, I began to notice the larger and larger parts of my life were being filled by it.

Eventually, in 2010 while I was a medical student in the small island of Grenada, in the Caribbean, my passion for photography became to strong and I decided that it was with a camera in my hand (and not a stethoscope) that I wanted to make my career. I have not looked back since and could not have made a happier decision.

I strongly believe in the power that photographs have to change the course of history and to transform the way we look at the world. Photography connects us to our humanity and carries the beauty of being able to transport us to places where we want - or need - to be.

I did my undergrad education in Physical Therapy in my home country of Brasil and from there continued on to Medical School at St. George's University in Grenada. It was there where my life took a turn and I decided to pursue the dream of making my living as a photographer.

Since then, I directed my studies towards photography and got my Masters Degree in Education and post grad studies in Photography and in Photojournalism.

I have been featured in various exhibitions in Brasil and in Grenada.
