Markus Tornberg

I paint stories of amazing lives, strange people and wonderful nature.
I make expeditions into the wonderful world of the mind and subconscious, on the other hand I reflect on our extraordinary life and world in a very conscious way.
I am always looking and sometimes I find something interesting and special, new and different.

Often in my works there is a miraculous human or animal figure. Attitudes, gestures, facial expressions, body language tell their own stories and often you can find many dimensions in them.

The magnificent nature has also begun to find its way more into my paintings.
Abstraction alongside representation is an interesting new challenging approach to my work. Combining the abstract and the figurative creates new beautiful and imaginative worlds.
Above all, I strive to enjoy the process of creation and I believe it shows in my work.
I strive to find something new in my creative process, seeking out and exploring different techniques and ways of making.
