Marlena Selin was born in Poland in Władysławowo city. Marlena Selin is an emerging Contemporary artist based in Poland. She was born and raised in Władysławowo, in the North Baltic Sea.



Although she was mainly self-taught, she formally studied Art at Bielsko College of Art.

The artist belongs to the group of those who realize their painting concept by painting by Muses. However, painting a woman is not the main subject because in painting she surrenders to surrealistic currents, fantasy or magical realism, and magical elements penetrate to the real world, where deforming reality and becoming an arbitrary part of an imaginary world. A woman on canvas becomes only a tool to express her own vision.



The painter uses a compilation of painting techniques which combine various technical elements (glazes, impastos, action paintings). such a choice of techniques is the result of the need to confront multiple manifolds from different eras.
