My work is an abstract study of the relationship between man and nature. It’s a celebration of both the living and nonliving systems thereby fostering a deeper human connection to the earth. My process mimics how nature forms and manifests striations, craters, boundaries and even new life forms. By avoiding manmade tools and using the scientific processes by which our earth was created and continues to change such as movement, pressure, adaptation to obstruction, etc, I create geomorphic abstractions in painting, sculpture and installations. Born in Austin, I now live and work on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country.
