Martin Cederlund

"Martin Cederlund is a Swedish collage artist based in Berlin that works with news-clippings, found photographs and other recycled paper materials towards the arrangement of dynamic bricolage works that play with and deconstruct varying psychological and cultural messages. Recalling the practice and historical context of early Dada photomontage, his unique work mixes political and social critique, tongue-in-cheek humour and a deliberately disorientating aesthetic agency.
Polystylist, psychedelic and hypnagogic in effect, Cederlund's practice deals with the conjunction of confused cognizances, and the tensions between fading historical memory and modern life in our late-Capitalist world."
