Mary Cane-Honeysett

Mary was born in 1928 in London, England into a working class family. With no formal art training, Mary taught herself how to paint in oils. She would also make her own canvases and picture frames. Her paintings capture the beauty of old, crumbling buildings, not only in her London neighborhood of Fulham and Chelsea but also in two of her favorite American cities, Nashville and San Francisco.

Mary attended Halford Road Primary School in Fulham, London until the age of 11.
