Maurizio Di Martino

I was born in Naples in 1975.
Since childhood I have been linked to art and design thanks to the passion transmitted by my father. My education is purely scientific, but preferring the humanistic and literary subjects, research has evolved in the classical field; while not attending schools and art-related environments, I worked in the advertising industry as an illustrator, graphic artist and web designer for 15 years, making me appreciate on the field. I painted for a long time without ever exhibiting, until the moment when I decided to focus everything and definitely on the search for my "artistic self". Without ever losing sight of how important an image is for thought and how much counts the possibility of realizing it according to one's intentions, I refer to Aristotle's "De Anima": "the soul never thinks without an image". Over the years I have participated, at first occasionally and then more and more frequently, to different groups of painting and contemporary art.
