Mauricio Vidania

Mauricio Vidania is a multidisciplinary artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, with family roots in the Antioquia region, as well as Spain and Germany. His work is shaped by movement, endurance, cultural heritage, and narrative experimentation.

He holds a BA in International Business from Regent’s College London and a Master’s degree in Statistics and Information Management from NOVA University Lisbon. Alongside his artistic practice, Mauricio has developed a professional career in business operations and consulting, having worked with global companies such as Google, and more recently advising local businesses in Portugal.

Sport has played a fundamental role in his life since an early age. A dedicated kiteboarder since the age of 12, Mauricio found early inspiration on the Caribbean island of San Andrés, where time spent with family and commanding the sea became central to both his personal and creative identity. He competed at an amateur level in kitesurfing freestyle in Colombia, achieving second place nationally in 2007, before transitioning into endurance sports.
